Scope of the policy
The policy covers all personal and technical data processed through australiaindiaeducation.com. Because the site does not open gaming accounts or take payments, we do not collect financial records, betting history, identity documents or any other gambling-related information. Where applicable, our handling of personal information follows the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. For visitors accessing the site from the European Union, we also apply the general principles of the General Data Protection Regulation where our processing falls within its scope.
Information we collect
Data collection on the portal is limited to what is needed to run the site and improve our reviews. The categories are:
Technical visit data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the time of each visit.
Cookie data, which is described in detail in a separate Cookie policy on the site.
Information a visitor sends us voluntarily by email, including the senderβs address and the content of the message.
Aggregated analytics that record traffic patterns without identifying any individual person.
None of these categories involves gaming activity or payment details, since the portal has no facilities for either.
How we use the information
Collected data serves three purposes. First, it keeps the site operating securely β technical records help us detect faults, block abusive traffic and maintain stable performance. Second, aggregated statistics show which reviews readers consult, which guides us in planning and improving future content. Third, we use email correspondence to answer questions and, where relevant, to correct or update a review. We do not sell information to anyone. We also do not use it to deliver gambling advertising aimed at people under 18, and our content is intended for adult audiences only.
Sharing with third parties
Information is shared with outside parties only in two situations. Technical contractors β the hosting provider and the analytics service β receive the minimum data required to keep the site online and measurable. Regulators or law enforcement bodies may receive information where a legal request obliges us to provide it. Reviews on the portal link to offshore operator websites, and those operators are separate businesses. Their privacy policies apply on their own sites, and we encourage readers to read those documents before registering anywhere.
Storage and security
Connections to the site run over SSL/TLS encryption, which protects data while it travels between a visitorβs browser and our servers. Access to stored records is restricted to team members who need it for their work. We keep information no longer than necessary for the purposes described above; email correspondence is deleted once the matter raised in it has been resolved. Aggregated statistics, which contain no personal identifiers, may be retained in summary form for longer periods.
Your rights
Visitors can request access to the personal information we hold about them and ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Consent to optional cookies can be withdrawn at any time through the browser settings. If you contact us with a request and are not satisfied with the response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the national regulator for privacy matters in Australia. The OAIC handles complaints under the Privacy Act and provides guidance on its website free of charge.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time as our practices or the law change. A new version takes effect from the moment it is published on the site, and this page will always reflect the current wording. Questions, data requests or complaints about this policy should be sent to [email protected], and we will respond within a reasonable time.
