What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a browser places on a device when a website is visited. They serve practical purposes: the site can remember preferences between visits, and the operator can see which pages are read and how visitors move through the content. For a review portal, this information helps identify which comparisons are useful and which pages need updating. Cookies themselves do not execute code and cannot install software on a device. Personal data collected through cookies is never sold to third parties, and the portal does not use it to build advertising profiles of its readers.
Types of cookies used by the portal
The portal groups its cookies into four categories, each with a distinct purpose and lifespan. Knowing the difference makes it easier to decide which ones to allow:
Essential โ required for the website to function, including security features and remembering the choice made in the cookie banner.
Session โ temporary files that are deleted as soon as the browser is closed.
Persistent โ stored for a defined period and used to retain settings, such as interface preferences, between visits.
Analytical โ collect de-identified statistics about page visits, helping the editorial team understand which reviews and comparisons readers actually use.
An important restriction applies to advertising: the portal does not install advertising cookies for gambling promotions and does not engage in user profiling for marketing purposes. Readers are not tracked across other websites with the aim of serving them casino or betting advertisements, and no data collected here is shared with advertising networks for that purpose.
Third-party cookies
Some analytical services integrated into the portal may set their own cookies under their own privacy rules, which sit outside this policy. A separate case arises when a reader follows a link from a review to an operatorโs website: from that moment, the operatorโs site may place its own cookies and process data under its own rules. The portal has no control over those files and accepts no responsibility for how the operatorโs website handles them.
Consent
On a first visit, a cookie banner appears on the site. Essential cookies are active regardless of the choice, since the website cannot function without them, while analytical cookies are set only after consent is given through the banner. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time โ clearing the browserโs stored cookies or adjusting the preferences again removes the permission previously granted. The banner reappears if there is no stored choice on the device.
How to manage and disable cookies
All major browsers โ Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge โ include settings for managing cookies: files can be deleted individually or in bulk, all cookies can be blocked, or only third-party cookies can be restricted. Private or incognito browsing modes limit storage further, since cookies collected in such a session are removed when the window is closed. Settings are usually found under privacy or site data sections of the browser menu. One caveat deserves attention: disabling essential cookies may break parts of the website, so some pages or functions may not display correctly if those files are blocked.
Changes and contact
The policy takes effect from the moment of publication on the website and is not tied to a fixed calendar date. If the practices described here change, the updated version is published on this page as a new edition, and the revised text applies from that point. Questions about how cookies are used on the portal can be sent to [email protected]; the editorial team reviews messages sent to this address.
